I was lying on the bed and I dreamed that I was sleeping. How I know that? I heard noise from TV which I did not switch on. When I increase my awareness, the noise of the TV faded, but when I relax, the noise got louder. I opened my eyes and I found myself in the same room, but I know that I was dreaming. I got up from the bed and walk to the toilet. Now I really confirmed that I was dreaming as the toilet I was in was different from the actual one. I found it hard to maintain my awareness (that I know I am dreaming), and once when I lost the concentration, I really fell asleep.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3808145.post-52958482439926820572007-09-20T03:25:00.000-07:002007-09-20T03:46:36.392-07:00Back on TrackI have lost the momentum of yoga practice since April this year. My favorite instructor, Yograj, has left the studio, then I hurt my back, always on business trips and I fell sick (fever and cough). All these has disrupted my usual 3-4 times a week's practices. It's a big wastes of my limited membership fee and I am now trying to get back on track.

I went for a Hatha 1 session yesterday evening and I was shocked that my body has deteriorate so much. Back then, I only attend Hatha 2 as Hatha 1 was too easy. But now, even a simple "Tree Pose" is challenging. The deterioration covers all aspects, strength, stamina, flexibility, balance, even concentration.

I need to resume my normal alternate-day-practice and I need to find a good instructor again. There are quite a number of new instructors joining my studio, it would take me quite a while to find one that suits me.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3808145.post-86935393868283076262007-08-28T21:32:00.000-07:002007-08-28T21:37:47.845-07:00WINNER of Contest#103 Exits and EntryHere's my winning shot for the contest #103 Exits and Entry on the "Ratings and Contests Amos7 Group".

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3808145.post-8814442304666764702007-08-06T22:17:00.000-07:002007-08-06T22:21:21.088-07:00Life in the Big City*WINNERS PostedI'm so lucky to be one of the winners for the contest of "Life in the Big City".

Here's my photo:

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3808145.post-59408912049283989332007-06-18T03:37:00.000-07:002007-06-18T21:05:08.409-07:00Winner of Weekly Scavenger Hunt (9th Jun - 17th Jun)

I won the challenge and my above photo, "Mirror Effect", was blogged by the Admin of The World Through My Eyes!

Click here to visit the Group.

Click here to visit the blog.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3808145.post-60482797452546458202007-01-28T20:12:00.000-08:002007-01-28T20:54:11.597-08:00Interview Q&AYou may not believe it, but the following are actual account of my interview session with a potential candidate last week.

Q: Tell me about yourself.
A: It's all in my resume, read it yourself.

Q: Why do you want to apply for this job?
A: I didn't! I always thought that since auto focus is so quick and easy, and wonder why people still have to waste time doing it manually.

I discovered the greatness of manual focus when I attended a business event. I saw the reflection of the candelier on the dinner table. It looked interesting so I wanted to capture the image. Very soon I realised that it cannot be done with auto focus, so I have to switch to manual focus. The result is amazing, the image is better than what I saw throught my eyes. I am so happy that I have found a new way to take photos :DUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3808145.post-71236480333840119032006-12-07T19:00:00.000-08:002006-12-07T20:19:09.772-08:00A Small Bump in YogaMy usual yoga practice schedule was affect by the personnel changes at the yoga center. My favorite instructor, Yograj, was transferred Centrium, and the Hatha 2 classes at Langham Place was replaced by other instructor.

The classes started to suck. Even thought it's Hatha 2 lesson, it feels like going back to Hatha 1. The postures taught were simple, no challenge. Most of the old students have disappeared, replaced a bunch of newbies, who can't even do the posts. And some of them even complained about the lesson being too difficult on the internet forum. Why don't they just stick with Hatha 1?! I think the poor instructor is really at the losing end, with experienced students complain too easy and beginners complain too difficult.

I was unhappy that even if I carry on, I won't be able to advance in my practice. After considering for 2 weeks, I finally decided to upgrade my membership to "All Centers" so that I can stick on with Yograj's classes. I re-joined Yograj's classes at the Centrium last evening for a session of YIN. The lesson was great and I learnt a few new postures, so I'm back on track again! *muahmuahmuah*Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3808145.post-1160991285254751142006-10-16T02:09:00.000-07:002006-12-07T20:21:03.782-08:00Yoga ManiaI started picking up yoga again after I signed on for a two-year membership. With unlimited classes, I must make my money worth. After the first month of relative intensive classes to try out the different yoga style and instructure, I finally landed with a more stayable schedule for my weekly practise (3-4 days a week).

I choose Hatha 2 as my basic practise twice a week. I try not to miss the classes as it is the opportunity for me to learn new poses, moving to more advance level. In addition, Pranayama and Meditation on sunday morning follow by another session of Hatha 1 (Hatha 2 no available on sunday). Yin on saturday and any other weekdays when I need do more stretching. It is quite painful to stay in a position for 3-5 minutes but somehow I enjoy torturing myself :P. Power Yoga / Ashtanga on weekday energize my body. May be trying other new classes ... but not hot yoga, I hate the heat.
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3808145.post-1160713989700556652006-10-12T21:29:00.000-07:002006-10-12T22:50:49.153-07:00Level 4 Cantonese Test

考试分数:

86

菜刀老师评价:

很不?,再努力一些就成功啦!

My test result.

Click here if you want to test your cantonese standard.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3808145.post-1159435236264996162006-09-28T02:05:00.001-07:002006-09-28T02:20:36.286-07:00The Secret of the Mind Reading Program
Whatever number you use , you will end up in one of the green boxes.

Try it here!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3808145.post-1159342865453355462006-09-27T00:18:00.000-07:002006-09-27T00:41:05.466-07:00Retirement planIn response to comments from insane green gorilla. I need to justify why I care so much about my increment.

I'm looking at retiring at 45, which means I only have about 15 years of working life to go and to make enough money until I vanish. The average life span for female probably reaches 90 when I reach old age (if I'm so unlucky to live that long), that means I have to live off my saving for 45 years (with the same standard of living). Plus the medical bills for old age, and not to mention my globe trekker plan to step foot on every continent :D That number runs in millions ...Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3808145.post-1158635082678730392006-09-18T19:12:00.000-07:002006-09-20T20:37:27.560-07:00A Decade ReviewFew days ago, I suddenly realised that it has been 10 years since I started my first job. After my "A" Level and before going to University, I found a clerical job in a local bank. The pay was low, even at that period of them. My main job was to count all the cheques, which were sent in from the branches, manually! Obviously, it was a no brain job with very low pay. At that time, I never thought that I would ended up with what I'm doing now. I wasn't even sure of my future. Bank jobs where hot at that time, so I thought I should have a career in the banking sector. I never know that that was the only bank job I had.

As the pay was so lousy, I job hopped after 2 months to work as account assistant in an MNC. Now, ten years later, my pay is ten times higher than what I got for my first job. I wonder what will my pay like ten years from now, but it's quite hard to get another ten times increment (assume normal inflation rate of 2%-5% per annum) in my income for the next ten years. Annual income in millions? I would have to really be a high flyer to have that kind of pay :PUnknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3808145.post-1158561124506339912006-09-17T23:22:00.000-07:002006-09-17T23:33:32.426-07:00Turning the MTR walkway into airport departure area
This may look like an airport departure gate but it's actually in a walkway that links up Central and Hong Kong MTR Stations.

Cathay Pacific, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary, has transformed the walkway into a big simulation advertisement. It was never my interest and I was never good at any management subjects. I always looked at it as a acedemic subject or a topic that is only relevent to senior management of big organisations or business consultants. I have never forseen that I would ever come across this in my work, or so soon.

It is never a easy subject for me. I like applicational subjects, which I can use it in my daily work or living, like, finance. Organizational behavior, on the other hand, has tones of theories (which I found them quite useless in some sense) to memorise, also involves writing of long essays (another thing that I hate).

Now, my retribution comes. I need to write reports and I find that my brain really short of ideas and theories of this subject, or anything that can support or qualify my thinking. *Sigh* It's time to go to the library...Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3808145.post-1155190443011820202006-08-09T23:01:00.000-07:002006-08-09T23:14:06.700-07:00Can you tell me what happen to this man?
Recently I have been working at my company's office in Shenzhen. This time, I saw him, still lying in the same position, instead of under the tree, he's on the grass patch at the bottom of the picture (I forget to take picture this time).

Now then I realise that he's actually taking his afternoon nap! BLOGIntroduce a new link to my colleague's blog, which starts today. She is really a blog enthusiast, wrote 6 entries so far to day. Usually it happens to new blogger right? I send my bloglink to her, but since she's in China, there's no way she can view my blog. Hee Hee, that means I can continue to write things about my working life, office, gossip, etc.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
